• Resume & Professional Data: Resume files (PDF/DOCX), work history, skills, education, and job preferences.
• Job Application Data: Applications submitted on your behalf, responses received, and interview schedules.
• Payment Information: Processed securely by Razorpay. We do not store card or UPI details.
• Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage, and device information for improving the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI-powered job matching and auto-application services.
• To tailor resumes and generate cover letters specific to each job.
• To process subscription payments through Razorpay.
• To send notifications about job matches and application updates.
• To improve our AI models and service quality (anonymized data only).

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with:

• Job Portals: Your resume and profile are submitted to job portals (LinkedIn, Naukri, etc.) on your behalf, as per your instructions.
• AI Providers: Resume and job description content is processed by Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (GPT-4o) to generate tailored applications. Data is processed under their respective privacy policies.
• Razorpay: Payment data is processed per Razorpay's privacy policy.
• Supabase: Secure database hosting under SOC 2 compliance.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing contact@careerguru.net. Data is deleted within 30 days of account closure.

5. Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security, TLS encryption in transit, and AES-256 encryption at rest. We regularly audit access controls and follow security best practices.

6. Your Rights

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Export your data in a machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.
